What To Expect
At Sheridan Hills, we want to bring life to where you live.
We have been here long enough to figure out that one approach doesn’t work for all people, so we are as diverse as you are. When you arrive on a Sunday morning you’ll see people dressed in shorts and flip-flops, suits and ties, and everything in between! If you attend the The Gathering Worship Service at 9:30am you’ll hear the latest Christian releases lead by a high-energy band. If you attend the Sheridan Worship Service at 11:00am you’ll hear a blending of the traditional and newer songs of the faith led by the choir and orchestra. The one thing that you will find throughout is a strong desire to connect people and help them grow in their relationship with God.
Just for Parents
We care very deeply about your children. We know that you want to come to a place where your kids are safe, where they can have fun, and where they will learn from God’s Word.
HisKidz Pre-School is a secure environment where you can leave your newborn through Pre-K4 child and expect them to receive the best care. We have a secure system of notification if your child needs you, and parents have identifying numbers for child pick-up.
HisKidz Worship is a fun and exciting place for kids who are in Kindergarten through 5th grade. They will sing, play games, and learn about God through multimedia presentations that put the Bible in terms that they can understand.
Your Greatest Fears Eliminated
Fear #1 – "I will wear the wrong thing." While clothing at Sheridan Hills is not optional – the type of clothing is! If you want to wear jeans and a t-shirt - that is fine. If you want to wear a suit and tie - that is fine. We are a diverse group of people and the way we dress is just as diverse. You might keep in mind that our Gathering service at 9:30 is more casual and our Sheridan Worship service at 10:45 is less casual.
Fear #2 – "I won’t fit in." Every time you enter a room with a new group of people there is a bit of discomfort. That will probably be true here at Sheridan Hills. However many first timers have told us that they felt welcome as soon as they walked in the door. We believe that you will enter as a stranger, but that you will leave as a friend.
Fear #3 – "I won’t know what to do." We don’t expect you to know what to do when you attend one of our services. All of our songs are projected on big screens so you don’t have to worry about books or song sheets. Even our pastor’s sermon outline is projected so you can follow along. We suggest you come a few minutes early so you can have time to find a seat and be ready when the service begins.
